A very nice write up.
I find the important and ultimate challenge is always walking on the thin line of setting expectations for the business customer/end user

Nice article indeed! Everything you said is logical.

Again, Swordfish is also right.

But I think the article covers that too. The dimension and volume of managing code differs and should differ from project to project.

What I think, there are some projects esp. got from the online sites can adopt less manageability as they usually does not focus on long time.
If the project is a flagship product or custom in house product, it should take some good measure to manage codes to embrace change.

Another issue often raises that the (software)business owners neglect to give time to build up a code management environment yet the demands to produce manageable code from the developer.

It's really a nice article. congr8...
It's so unfortunate that sometimes it becomes really tough to design and produce manageable and usable code for the lack of time as client always push like hell.

I really can't remember who said. But I liked a quote.
" Solving a problem is not the ultimate goal. Many people can do it. But the main factor is how they solve it "

Any way. keep going..Take care

Excellent writing pom pom bhai (Y)

Honest confession:

my clients always push me harder to get their job done in no time. So, often I find they are not really interested in my coding.. rather in the functionality they want.
A business people quote: "Customer is always right". And I would like to earn more money in less time by completing projects one after another.

I'm sure, this sense actually works in subconscious level of mind of all other coders who do not love web development but they are in this field 'caz they have found writing an echo "hello world" is much easier than writing a typical C++ program which gives same output.

First thing first: if you love programming, your mind will push you to write codes which are readable, manageable, synchronized and of-course efficient and logical.
